Additions & ADUs in Bakersfield.
Whether it's a new master suite on the back of the house or a separate ADU for a family member, adding square footage means new structural work, new utilities, and matching the finish so it doesn't look bolted on. We do the full scope.
The full scope, in-house and trusted.
A additions & adu touches more trades than most projects. Here's everything we coordinate so you don't have to chase eight subcontractors.
- Foundation work — Footings, slab, stem walls
- Framing — Engineered lumber, wall and roof
- Roofing — Matching existing tile, comp, or flat roofs
- Exterior finish — Stucco, siding — matched to your home
- Electrical service — Sub-panels, new circuits
- Plumbing — Sewer ties, water service
- HVAC extension — Adding to existing system or new mini-split
- Permit coordination — County and city, including ADU programs
Six things you can count on.
No matter the size or scope, these are the same. The difference between a contractor you call once and one you recommend to your neighbor.

In writing. If anything we built isn't right, we come back and fix it.
They built us a 600 sq ft addition that matches the house so well you can't tell from the curb. That detail matters more than I expected.
What people ask before they call.
If your question isn't here, just call. We talk to homeowners every day and our first conversation is always free.
Only if you let it. We match rooflines, exterior finish color and texture, window styles, and trim details. Sometimes that means hand-patching stucco to blend a seam, sometimes it means re-finishing a whole elevation so the new section is invisible from the street.
California state law makes ADUs a lot easier than they used to be — most single-family lots qualify. There are size, setback, and parking rules that vary; we handle the application and any required clarifications with the county.
For detached ADUs we also coordinate utility tie-ins (water, sewer, electrical) which is usually the biggest cost driver people don't see coming.
Yes for most additions. There will be noise, dust at certain phases, and short utility shutoffs we'll schedule with you. For ADUs that are detached, your existing house is mostly untouched.
Typical: 4 to 10 weeks from submitted plans to issued permit, depending on jurisdiction load. We start that clock as early as possible and use the time for design refinement, material selection, and any pre-ordering of long-lead items.
