Whole-Home Remodels in Bakersfield.
For older homes that need real work — opening up floor plans, updating systems, modernizing finishes throughout. We've renovated dozens of mid-century Bakersfield homes and know what to expect under the drywall.
The full scope, in-house and trusted.
A whole-home remodel touches more trades than most projects. Here's everything we coordinate so you don't have to chase eight subcontractors.
- Floor plan changes — Open up walls, relocate rooms
- Full kitchen + baths — All wet spaces in one project
- Electrical update — New panels, full re-wires if needed
- Plumbing update — Re-pipe, sewer line, water heater
- HVAC — New systems, ducting, zoning
- Insulation & windows — Energy efficiency upgrades
- Flooring throughout — Hardwood, tile, LVP
- Exterior refresh — Stucco, paint, roof if needed
Six things you can count on.
No matter the size or scope, these are the same. The difference between a contractor you call once and one you recommend to your neighbor.

They took a 1962 ranch we'd been afraid to touch and gave us a house that feels like new construction. The communication during nine months of work was the difference.
What people ask before they call.
If your question isn't here, just call. We talk to homeowners every day and our first conversation is always free.
For most whole-home remodels, yes — at least for the heavy demo and rough-in phases. Plan on 2 to 4 months out of the house. Some clients phase the project (front half, then back half) to live in part of it; we can scope that way if it's important to you.
We carry a contingency line in every whole-home quote (typically 8-12%) precisely because old homes have surprises. When we open a wall and find something — old knob-and-tube, undersized plumbing, water damage — we document it, give you a written change order with cost and timeline impact, and you decide before we proceed.
Yes. A whole-home remodel doesn't have to mean everything — many clients keep certain rooms or features and focus on the kitchen, primary bath, and shared spaces. We scope to what you actually want to change.
For older homes in protected neighborhoods, we coordinate with planning departments and historic preservation guidelines when needed. We've preserved original woodwork, restored period windows, and matched plaster textures on a number of these projects.
